SHIKI Japanese Fine Dining is unique in the Austrian haute cuisine scene, offering authentic but modern Japanese cuisine peppered with sophisticated European notes. In the stylish ambiance of the dark dining room, which reminisces restaurants in Tokyo or New York (designed by the renowned architectural firm BEHF), guests at SHIKI Japanese Fine Dining experience culinary highlights from chefs Alois Traint and Gerhard Bernhauer on ten tables. In addition to the fine dining salon, there are also two exclusive séparées, which together can accommodate up to 22 people.
Based on regional and seasonal ingredients, 7-course menus (organic quality fish and meat or completely vegan) are served at Michelin star level. With the finest European wines and sake from the best Japanese breweries, such as the renowned House of Katsuyama from Sendai, SHIKI Japanese Fine Dining guarantees a holistic experience of upscale cuisine Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.
From first-class sushi and sashimi to exquisite salad creations to steaks or burgers made from the finest Wagyu beef – the á la carte restaurant SHIKI Brasserie & Bar offers authentic Japanese cuisine with European notes at the highest level. The SHIKI Brasserie spoils its guests in a design-ambiance, whether for a date in the evening, a business lunch, or a snack after shopping at Kärntnerstraße.
The SHIKI Brasserie & Bar on Krugerstrasse offers its guests 42 seats at cozy tables, 12 seats at the sushi counter where you can watch the sushi artists from close up, the legendary Chefs Table with a panorama window to the main kitchen, and one of the most beautiful outdoor dining areas in downtown Vienna, framed by Japanese dwarf horns.
One must also mention the enormously diverse selection of drinks at the often-awarded SHIKI Bar. In addition to Austria’s largest selection of Japanese whiskies and gins, as well as a vast selection of exclusive wines and sake (open and bottled), SHIKI Bar also offers numerous in-house cocktail creations with or without alcohol.
