Vienna can look forward to an exceptional new opening: Joji Hattori, who recently celebrated the tenth anniversary<\/strong> of his multi-award-winning restaurant SHIKI<\/strong>, is now realizing another heartfelt project with the SHIKI Boutique and its connected Sakethek<\/strong> \u2013 a concept that is currently unique in Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With the SHIKI Boutique | Sakethek, the restaurateur and conductor expands SHIKI into an entirely new dimension and invites guests to experience Japanese culture with all their senses<\/strong>. Visitors not only have the opportunity to taste sake on site<\/strong>, but also to take a piece of Japan home<\/strong> \u2013 whether in the form of exceptional sake<\/strong> or masterfully crafted artworks<\/strong> from Japan\u2019s most renowned artisans<\/strong>. The SHIKI Boutique | Sakethek<\/strong> follows a carefully thought-out concept that authentically brings the essence of Japanese culture<\/strong> to Vienna. Upon entering, guests are welcomed by an atmosphere of minimalist elegance<\/strong>, shaped by finely tuned design elements. Every detail \u2013 from the carefully selected materials to the subtle lighting concept and the handpicked furnishings \u2013 reflects Joji Hattori\u2019s vision<\/strong> for this project: refined, high-quality, and deeply respectful of Japanese craftsmanship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has long been my dream to present the finest objects of Japanese craftsmanship in Europe. Although there has been great interest in Japanese artisanal work in Europe \u2013 at the latest since the Japonisme movement in the 19th century \u2013 there are today hardly any shops in Europe that sell these kinds of objects,\u201d<\/em> Joji Hattori reflects.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This is something the new boutique now changes: In artfully arranged, custom-made furniture<\/strong>, Japanese artisanal pieces<\/strong> are harmoniously combined with an exclusive selection of handpicked sake varieties<\/strong>. Carefully curated and elegantly displayed, the boutique brings together exquisite masterpieces that embody centuries-old precision, perfect aesthetics, and deeply rooted craftsmanship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The boutique celebrates the beauty of traditional craftsmanship from both Japan and Europe<\/strong>: elegant lacquerware from Nosaku<\/strong>, tinware from Nousaku<\/strong>, Suzugami<\/strong> hammered metalwork by Syouryu<\/strong>, hand-forged knives by Tadafusa<\/strong> and Nenohi<\/strong>, and the finest porcelain from Fukagawa<\/strong> exemplify the perfection of Japanese artistry<\/strong>. Complementing these are timelessly elegant porcelain pieces by Kihara<\/strong>, offering a more practical, everyday application of Japanese craftsmanship. This curated ensemble is further enriched by artfully crafted fans<\/strong>, exquisite textiles from Iono<\/strong>, and harmonious sound elements by Koizumi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
