The SHIKI Boutique | Sakethek follows a carefully conceived concept that authentically brings the essence of Japanese culture<\/strong> to Vienna. \u201cFor a long time, it has been my dream to present the finest examples of Japanese craftsmanship in Europe. Although there has been tremendous interest in Japanese craftsmanship in Europe\u2014especially since the Japonisme movement of the 19th century\u2014there are now very few shops in Europe that actually offer these objects for sale,\u201d<\/em> reflects Joji Hattori.<\/p>\n

A situation that is now changing with the opening of the new boutique. Within artfully arranged<\/strong>, custom-made furnishings<\/strong>, Japanese craftsmanship<\/strong> is brought together with an exclusive selection of carefully chosen sake<\/strong>. Thoughtfully curated and elegantly presented, the boutique showcases exceptional masterpieces that embody centuries-old precision, refined aesthetics, and deeply rooted artisanal traditions.<\/p>\n

At the same time, it celebrates the beauty of traditional craftsmanship from both Japan and Europe<\/strong>. Exquisite lacquerware by Nosaku<\/strong>, tinware by Nousaku<\/strong>, Suzugami metalwork by Syouryu<\/strong>, hand-forged knives by Tadafusa<\/strong> and Nenohi<\/strong>, and fine porcelain by Fukagawa<\/strong> represent the pinnacle of Japanese artistry. Complementing these pieces, the boutique also offers the timeless and elegant porcelain of Kihara<\/strong>, bringing Japanese craftsmanship into everyday life.<\/p>\n

This carefully selected collection is further enhanced by beautifully crafted fans, the finest textiles by Iono<\/strong>, and harmonious sound elements by Koizumi<\/strong>. European craftsmanship also finds its place here: Shikimono garments, designed exclusively for the SHIKI Sakethek by Natascha von Abensperg and Traun<\/strong>, combine the elegance of Japanese aesthetics with the sophistication of European artisanal tradition.<\/p>\n

The carefully selected sake portfolio is curated by Yuri Iwata<\/strong>, the exclusive supplier of the SHIKI Sakethek, who contributes her extensive knowledge of Japanese brewing culture:<\/p>\n
